Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Fabricator Welder with strong TIG welding capabilities to join our growing team. The role is primarily workshop-based fabrication with regular periods working away from home on client sites across the UK. You will be involved in the full fabrication process – from reading drawings and preparing materials through to welding, assembly, and finishing of stainless and mild steel pipework and structural fabrications for biogas and boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble stainless steel (304/316) and mild steel pipework systems, including metric tru-bore, hygienic pipework, large-diameter biogas lines, elbows, low-loss headers, and boiler components.
• Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding in all positions, with emphasis on clean, coded-standard welds on thin-wall and standard pipework.
• Read and work from engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and client specifications to produce accurate fabrications.
• Carry out material preparation, cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and polishing to the highest standard.
• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on completed fabrications.
• Regularly work away from home on client sites for installation and modification work (hotels, travel, and all expenses fully covered by the company).
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with strict health & safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder with strong TIG welding skills on stainless and mild steel.
• Solid hands-on fabrication and pipework experience (biogas, boiler, or industrial pipe systems preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings accurately.
• Good mechanical understanding of metal fabrication processes.
• Willing and able to work away from home regularly (essential requirement for this role).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Must pass stringent drug testing (pre-employment and random/on-site in line with our H&S policy).
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.

Desirable Requirements

• Coded welder qualifications (highly preferred – BS EN ISO standards for pipework in stainless/mild steel).
• Experience with biogas pipework, boiler systems, low-loss headers, or hygienic/metric stainless fabrication.
• Pipe fitting skills, site modification experience, or other relevant certifications (CSCS, confined space, IPAF, PASMA etc.).
