We are currently looking to recruit skilled MIG/Coded Welders to support ongoing contracts within our Lydney site assembly operations.

Desired skills and experience:

• Applications are invited from skilled individuals who have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication using MIG or time served in a Welding & Fabrication role
• Must be competent in MIG welding various gauge mild steel ranging from 1.5 mm to 15mm thick in various weld positions
• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings
• Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis
• Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Chargehand and Supervisor
• Responsible for general housekeeping within the area

This vacancy will require you to work within a small team therefore you will be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks that you undertake in order to support the needs of the business. Attention to detail is key as you will be required to work to high customer, quality and regulatory standards, often to tight deadlines.

Days - 40 hours per week

£15.09 - £17.87 per hour dependent on experience.

Monday to Thursday : 7.30 am to 16.30 pm Fri – 7.30 am to 13.30 pm

Lydney is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and South Wales. We operate a travel allowance policy of 30p per mile paid after a 30 mile return commute.

Pay: £15.47-£17.78 per hour
