Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welfare / Fabricator to join our team specialising in shipping container conversions and repairs. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of fabrication, welding, refurbishment, and modification of shipping containers for a wide range of commercial applications. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabrication skills and ideally experience within the container environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, cutting, grinding, and steel fabrication work on shipping containers.
• Fit doors, windows, locks, ventilation systems, and access equipment.
• Carry out refurbishment and repair of New & Used containers.
• Inspect containers for damage, corrosion, and structural defects.
• Repair container doors, locking gear, floors, roofs, and side panels.
• Replace damaged steel sections and components.
• Prepare surfaces and carry out basic painting and finishing work.
• Ensure all repaired units are fit for transport and customer use.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Ensure all fabrication work meets quality and safety standards.
• Operate workshop equipment and hand tools safely.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Assist with loading/unloading containers and materials.
• Complete job sheets, inspection reports, and production documentation accurately.

Health & Safety

• Follow all company health & safety procedures.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE.
• Report hazards, defects, and incidents promptly.
• Ensure safe use of welding and fabrication equipment.
