Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality structural and miscellaneous steel components that meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring innovative designs to life.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding processes.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal, pipe, and structural steel.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components accurately.
- Conduct rigging and fork lift operating
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, ASME codes & standards, and company safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven construction shop experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes across various metals.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations required for precise fabrication work.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and saws.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques including overhead crane operation assistance for lifting heavy materials safely.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards.
