Welder/Fabricator Aluminum/Steel

Chemical Containers, Inc. in Lake Wales is looking for help in the Fabrication Department. As follows are some of the requirements for the position. Some experience required, however, we are willing to train the right applicant that fits into our hardworking easy going atmosphere here at CCI.

If hired, the employee will be responsible for welding in the Assembly Shops and will work under direct supervision of the Assembly Foreman. The employee will also assist in other areas of assembly/fabrication as needed.

Essential Duties & Requirements Include:

• Candidate must be able to pass drug test
• Candidate must have good attendance and a strong work ethic
• Candidate must be willing to follow all safety rules and regulations. Failure to follow safety rules could result in corrective action up to and including termination.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Plumbing and welding experience is a plus
• Operates and maintains tools and equipment (minimum personal tool kit required)
• Performs housekeeping in area as needed
• Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for 8hr shifts plus overtime (if applicable)
• Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection
• Must be able to work with others and take direction
• Read prints and able to think for his or herself.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The employee is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
