Welder/Fabricator in Boring Oregon

Job Summary

Marks Brothers is currently hiring welders. We are a Fabrication Shop looking for experienced production welders with 2-5 years of welding experience.

Primary work schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm with 30 minute lunch.

Types of Certified Welding Experience:

• WELDING TYPES: Mostly MIG. TIG experience is a plus.
• WELDING POSITIONS: All position welding flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead positions (4G)
• MATERIALS: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloy.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Perform wide range welding processes on varying weld projects.
• Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions in preparation for welding or cutting metal components
• Set up welding equipment to maximize efficient project completion
• Measure and align metal parts
• Operate power equipment, boom lifts, man-lifts, warehouse forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Operate power and hand-held welding tools safely and responsibly
• Cut, form, tack weld and measure parts for correct fit
• Use plasma burn, grind and/or air arc metal as required
• Able and willing to perform other types of Mechanical job duties that are necessary to support the team and complete the project

Employees must:

• Be flexible – open to work overtime and weekends if necessary
• Self-motivated, hard-working, and able to work independently
• Be extremely safety conscious and wear safety protection equipment (PPE)
• Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Possess the ability to identify process issues and offer solutions
• Communicate verbally and in writing as required
• Must be team focused

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Required experience:

• Production welding: 2 - 5 years
