Welder/Fabricator - Production

<Responsibilities>

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques with precision to meet project specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Fabricate ductwork, sheet metal parts, piping, and assemblies according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
  • Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on the production floor or construction sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; perform routine inspections of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills; assist in pipe threading and soldering when necessary.

<Qualifications>

  • Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; experience with <LOCATION> welding preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
  • Familiarity with rigging operations, forklift operation, machining processes, pipe threading, soldering, and schematic interpretation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
