Heavy Fabrication Welder / Fabricator

We are a U.S.-based manufacturer of heavy-duty carnival rides used worldwide and are seeking multiple experienced Welder / Fabricators to join our production team. One or more positions focus on large, heavy-part fabrication and requires strong skills in GMAW (MIG) spray transfer welding, One position requires TIG welding.
This is a hands on shop position for someone who takes pride in structural-quality work and understands the importance of precision, safety, and production flow.

Position Overview
The Heavy Fabrication Welder / Fabricator is responsible for welding and assembling large structural components according to blueprints, work instructions, and company quality standards. This role works closely with shop leads and production teams to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform GMAW (MIG) welding using spray transfer on heavy structural components
- If applying for TIG, perform TIG welding using proper process, application, and procedure
- Fabricate and weld large, thick, and heavy steel parts
- Read, understand, and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Follow all work instructions, procedures, and safety standards
- Set up and operate welding equipment properly and safely
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and conformance to specifications
- Work with fitters and other team members to ensure proper part alignment and assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with leads regarding job progress, material issues, or production concerns
Required Qualifications
- Certified Welder (or ability to pass a weld test during hiring process)
- Strong experience with GMAW spray transfer welding
- If applying for TIG, strong experience using TIG welding
- Experience working with heavy gauge and structural steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Understanding of proper weld procedures, penetration, and distortion control
- Ability to safely handle large and heavy parts using cranes or lifting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and ability to work full-time day shift
Preferred Experience
- Background in heavy equipment, structural fabrication, or industrial manufacturing
- Experience welding parts subject to high stress or load-bearing applications
- Familiarity with shop equipment such as positioners, rollers, and overhead cranes
Work Environment
- Manufacturing shop environment
- Work involves standing, lifting, bending, and working with heavy steel components
- PPE required at all times (welding hood, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
