Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator specializing in TIG welding to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from custom fabrication to large-scale assembly, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills. As a key contributor, you will ensure that all welded components meet strict quality standards, adhere to safety protocols, and align with project specifications. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances according to ASME codes & standards.
- Operate rigging equipment such as forklifts for material handling and positioning during fabrication processes.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and ensuring accurate assembly of parts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, rigging, and construction site practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> specific welding techniques.
- Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with building frameworks, ductwork installation, or pipe threading is a plus.
- Proficiency in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) as well as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining tools, soldering, and assembly tasks.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to manufacturing or construction environments.
