• Perform TIG welding on various metals, including sheet metal and pipe components, adhering to detailed blueprints and schematics.
• Fabricate custom parts and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality control throughout the production process.
• Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely to move materials and completed assemblies within the workspace.
• Conduct pipe threading, soldering, and ductwork fabrication as required for various projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction site practices. Requirements
• Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities with a focus on welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in TIG welding; experience with MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings for accurate fabrication.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements, material estimations, and quality checks.
• Experience with rigging operations, crane handling, forklift operation, and pipe threading techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes, ductwork installation, soldering, and schematics interpretation.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with safety awareness; ability to work efficiently on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
• Valid certifications in welding (including TIG), ASME codes & standards preferred; additional certifications such as crane operation or forklift license are advantageous. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
