Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, including structural assemblies, piping, and custom fabrications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and craftsmanship are paramount.

Duties

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join various metals according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, pipe, and ductwork with precision.
  • Operate plasma cutters and press brake machines for shaping metal sheets and components.
  • Conduct fabrication tasks including pipe threading, soldering, rigging, machining, and assembly of mechanical parts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during welding, cutting, rigging, and material handling activities.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or manufacturing tasks to meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Utilize forklift or other lifting equipment as needed for material handling and transport within the workspace.
  • Ensure all work complies with quality standards by inspecting finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.

Qualifications

  • Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with <LOCATION> welding is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and rigging gear.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal work, pipe threading, soldering, machining and assembly.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes or construction projects.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to use calipers and micrometers for precise measurements. Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
