Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful assembly of structural frameworks, ductwork, piping systems, and custom metal projects. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals according to industry standards and project specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, bend, and assemble sheet metal and structural parts.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure tight tolerances are maintained during fabrication.
- Conduct rigging and crane operations safely when positioning heavy components or assemblies on-site or in the workshop.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping systems, or structural frameworks using appropriate welding and fitting techniques while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Assist with pipe threading, soldering, assembly of mechanical parts, and basic math calculations necessary for accurate fabrication work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols related to construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding, fabrication, or fitting roles in industrial or commercial environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes; welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation safety practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly techniques, ductwork fabrication, and use of calipers/micrometers for precise measurements.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with schematics for mechanical systems or manufacturing projects is preferred.
- Valid certification in welding (such as AWS certifications) is highly desirable; construction site experience is required.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as needed; physical stamina for lifting heavy materials is essential. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
