Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure the structural integrity and quality of various projects, from ductwork and pipe systems to custom fabrications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. Subject to a weld test. Hiring one night shift 3:30pm-2:00am
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Flux core heavy welding, and welding techniques to join various metals according to industry standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape sheet metal and other materials.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping systems, structural frameworks, and custom parts in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks in industrial or commercial settings.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes, Vertical Flux Core; experience with welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, soldering, rigging, and assembly techniques.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work.
- Experience working with sheet metal, ductwork fabrication, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Valid certification or demonstrated experience in construction safety standards; OSHA certification is a plus.
