Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding with accuracy on various metals including sheet metal and ductwork.
• Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment.
• Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics while adhering to ASME codes & standards for safety and quality.
• Conduct rigging, pipe threading, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks as required for project completion.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols related to construction site work and fabrication processes.

Skills

• Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of site safety procedures.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, including <LOCATION> welding standards.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools such as plasma cutters, press brakes, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
• Knowledge of rigging practices, pipe threading techniques, and ductwork fabrication.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely along with understanding of schematics for assembly tasks.
• Experience working with ASME codes & standards in manufacturing or construction environments. Pay: $27.43 - $35.00 per hour
