Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from structural steel to ductwork and custom fabrications. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join various metals according to ASME codes & standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and pipe components.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to meet exact specifications.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping systems, structural steel, and custom metal parts for construction or manufacturing projects.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on-site or in the workshop.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, rigging, machining, and construction site practices while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Assist in pipe threading, soldering, assembly of mechanical components, and mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
- Adhere to schematics and technical drawings during fabrication processes while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks in industrial or commercial settings.
- Skilled in MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW welding processes; experience with <LOCATION> welding is a plus.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including plasma cutting and press brake operation.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, forklifts, and machining equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, rigging, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and manufacturing processes.
