Welder/Fabricator/Fitter - 2nd Shift

All candidates will complete a blueprint comprehension test and a hands-on weld evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Robotic welding on carbon and stainless steel
• Interpret weld symbols and blueprints; place precise welds and repair defects as needed
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Perform weld machine maintenance including torches, wire barrels, contact tips, nozzles, and diffusers
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they are free of scale, spatter, and defects
• Measure work pieces using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to confirm conformance to specs
• Operate overhead cranes
• Log job information into computer systems
• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on welding experience in a fabrication environment (required)
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and weld symbols (required)
• Proficiency with measuring tools — calipers, micrometers, tape measures (required)
• Basic math skills (required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (required)

Compensation

• Starting from $26.00/hr; negotiable - based on experience
• +$2.00/hr 2nd shift premium

Shift Hours

• 3pm-1am Monday - Thursday; Friday overtime as needed
