Square Deal Machining, Inc. is growing and would like to give you the opportunity to join our team. SDMI started as a one room machine shop in Marathon, NY and has since grown to a 300,000 sq ft facility that provides full-service fabrication, machining and welding capabilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a MIG Welder, you will be integral to our fabrication team, responsible for interpreting blueprints and executing high-quality welding tasks. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will utilize core skills such as hand tools and power tools, alongside premium skills in MIG welding and sheet metal work. Your mechanical knowledge and experience will enhance our production capabilities. We expect you to ensure safety and precision in every project, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our operations. Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG welding and blueprint reading
• Skilled in using hand and power tools
• Experience with fabrication and basic math
• Ability to work with sheet metal
• Experience operating cranes and forklifts

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal.
• Fabricate components according to design requirements while ensuring precision and quality.
• Operate cranes and other equipment safely to move materials and completed parts.
• Apply basic math skills to measure and cut materials accurately, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and uphold safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
