Job description TIG welder/sheet metal fabrications worker

DRH Fabrications is an independent firm based in the Wrexham area.

We are looking for experienced steel fabricators as the company is growing and our team needs to grow with it. The successful candidate will be able to work from both technical drawings or verbal descriptions supplied by our design Team, and be able to fabricate all manner of mild and stainless steel structures using TIG welding techniques.

Please note: This is a combined workshop and onsite role. Regular and travel and working away is required.

The job responsibilities will include:

To carry out all Fabrication stages from receipt of drawing to completion of job including interpreting technical drawings, marking out, cutting, tacking and welding tolerances.

To co-operate with members of the team to ensure works are completed within target time scales.

To act professionally and responsibly while representing the company.

To follow company quality procedures at all times, completing all quality documentation.

To check your own work against quality standards.

To maintain workshop housekeeping to a high standard.

Skills and qualifications:

City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 in fabrications and welding

At least 3 years experience in Tig welding, sheet metal work and fabrication including experience in Workshop fabrications and Onsite installations

Effective reading and interpretation of technical drawings

Excellent communication with clients and project managers

Excellent time management skills

Ability to meet the travel needs of the post: Full driving licence and ability to travel nationwide (Company vehicle provided for travel).

The role involves working across weekends as part of a rota; and occasional overnight stays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
