Welding Engineer

We are looking for a ‘’Welding Engineer’’ for our company which operates in Electrical Vehicles and Railway Systems industry.

Qualifications

• University degree in the fields of Mechanical or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
• Having International Welding Engineering Certificate (IWE)
• At least 3 years of experience in the fields of Quality and Welding Departments (preferably in the Railway Systems or Automotive Industry)
• Have knowledge of IATF 16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO 4500, VDA 6.3 and 6.5
• Have knowledge of the process with EN ISO 3834-2 & EN 15085 Standards
• Preferably experienced in the field of spot welding and robotic gas metal arc welding
• Have knowledge and experience in destructive and non-destructive testing (with NDT certificates)
• Experienced in laboratory testing, welder testing and certification
• Have knowledge of quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, Deviation Management, Problem Solving Techniques
• Able to establish strong communication with internal and external partners
• Prone to teamwork
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of MS Office and preferably SAP
• Not related to military service for male candidates
• Living in or able to live in Ankara

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Documenting and reporting welding processes in accordance with standards (EN 15085/ EN ISO 3834) and customer specifications
• Organizing the determination of process parameters, verification of the process at the beginning of production and validation required by the welding operations performed in the welding school
• Determining special quality requirements according to customer requests and carrying out necessary studies for commissioning
• Prepare welding procedures and necessary documents
• Supervising the production, control and shipment of suppliers in accordance with the specifications
• Performing internal and supplier audits
• Leading customer audits
• Preparing and presenting the quality subjects at customer meetings, when necessary
• To hold periodic quality meetings with the customer
• Making periodic meetings with the customers
