About the Client
Our Client, a global manufacturing leader, is looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to support its metal division. This role reports directly to the Factory General Manager and plays a key role in aligning welding operations with international standards and project demands.

Roles/Responsibilities

Analyze engineering designs to meet welding requirements

Coordinate multiple welding-related projects and liaise with test labs and suppliers

Conduct and report welding engineering investigations to optimize methods
-
Oversee and develop welding procedures and support manufacturing teams
-
Train and qualify welders according to ISO standards
-
Create welding plans and procedures for First Article Inspections (FAI)
-
Drive ISO 15085, EN 1090, and EN ISO 3834 certifications and renewals

Manage supplier welding qualifications for new projects
-
Lead root cause and failure analysis for welding operations
-
Innovate welding methods and fixtures to improve efficiency

Monitor and enhance welding defect rates with process owners

Develop work instructions and procedures for new projects

Collaborate with Quality teams to enhance welded product quality

Handle additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
-
BE in Mechanical or Metallurgy
-
10+ years’ experience in welding engineering
-
IWE certification with 5+ years’ experience
-
NDT Level 2 certification
-
Proven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator in EN15085 (CL1 & CL2) certified environments
