Welding & Fabrication Shop Supervisor

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strong Supervisory - Production Management - Production Scheduling (ERP)

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of fabrication department, including overseeing all manufacturing and scheduling.
  • Learn how to make twists and supervise twist fabrication to ensure that every job meets Entech quality standards.
  • Setting and managing daily priorities and productivity within the shop to meet sales shipment needs and customer installation dates.
  • Coordinate shop activities and priorities with the Shop Leader, Sales team and all outside manufacturing, fabrication and plating partners on all orders and new product development projects.
  • Lead Quality Assurance efforts and team training to ensure consistent quality is delivered and correct procedures are followed, especially with finished product pre-shipment inspections at Entech’s shop and Ace.
  • Willing and able to lead daily and routine training of operators/machinists as necessary.
  • Must be able to motivate, provide leadership and create a team environment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience developing, implementing and effectively using EPR systems, such as JobBoss2, within a manufacturing company. Experience managing job/work order process flow and scheduling, including people, products, materials, and quality assurance.
  • Able to understand complex mechanical drawings and tolerances.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a high number of projects and respond appropriately to schedule changes.
  • Ability to institute process and procedural improvements in a shop environment is critical.
  • Experience in stainless steel fabrication, welding and can twist fabrication and calibration.
  • Possess a technical degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
