About The Role
We are looking for a technically sound and hands-on
Welding Foreman
to lead our team of welders in a high-output fabrication workshop. This role is critical for maintaining the superior quality and integrity of our welding operations, which support major
SABIC
and
ARAMCO
projects. The ideal candidate is not just a skilled welder but a natural leader and teacher, capable of guiding a team to achieve excellence in every weld.

Key Responsibilities
-
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of welders, ensuring all welding tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and project requirements to guide the team accurately.

Perform complex manual welding tasks yourself to demonstrate best practices, tackle critical jobs, and maintain hands-on skills.

Train, mentor, and qualify welders on proper techniques, safety protocols, and the use of equipment to build a highly skilled team.
-
Conduct regular inspections of ongoing welding work to ensure compliance with relevant codes (ASME, ANSI) and project specifications.
-
Liaise with the QC department to facilitate inspections and ensure all work passes stringent quality checks.
-
Manage welding consumables, equipment, and resources effectively to minimize waste and maximize productivity.

Enforce a strict safety-first culture on the shop floor at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
-
Education: Minimum Intermediate level education. Preference will be given to candidates with a DAE (Mechanical) or a specialized Welding Diploma.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in pipe supports and structural welding, with significant experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

Technical Skills:
-
Must be an expert welder, capable of performing high-quality manual welding.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
-
In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards common in the oil and gas industry.

Proven experience in training and developing welders.
-
Personal Attributes: Must be hardworking, hands-on, a clear communicator, and a strong team leader.
