Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure an emotionally and socially healthy student body in cooperation with administration and other staff.
• Meeting with new students and monitoring their adjustment, and meeting one on one with students who are struggling and providing small group counselling.
• Connecting with teachers, principals and parents to identify student needs, issues and problems, and providing suggestions.
• Collaborating with other staff to support the parent community, assisting the Student Services team, participating in professional development, and carrying out other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Has a Bachelor Degree in counseling or counseling certificate.
• Has the sensitivity to multicultural perspectives.
• Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, execute and evaluate in the office and classroom setting.
