Job Overview

Ready- Contractors is a well-established construction company that has been delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable services to the eastern North Carolina community since 1969. We are seeking a diligent and self-motivated Remote Procurement Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position based in Los Angeles, California, designed to support our growing operational needs across the country. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and coordinating the procurement of materials for our various construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain's efficiency and our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

* Identify, vet, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors for construction materials.
* Source materials and equipment, evaluate quotes, and negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure the best value.
* Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
* Coordinate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements, specifications, and delivery timelines.
* Track orders from placement through to delivery, proactively resolving any potential delays or issues.
* Maintain precise and organised records of all procurement activities, including purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
* Ensure all procured materials meet our strict quality standards and comply with project specifications.
* Assist in managing inventory levels and logistics to prevent project disruptions.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role, preferably within the construction industry.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with procurement software.
* A solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
* Knowledge of construction materials and a network of suppliers is highly advantageous.
