W&I Underwriter – Dubai

Our client is an established and expanding M&A insurance team in Dubai is seeking a Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) Underwriter to join its growing regional operation. This is a key opportunity for an ambitious professional with a strong transactional background to contribute to the development of a leading M&A insurance platform in the Middle East.

Role Overview:

The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating risks and determining appropriate insurance coverage for clients. This position involves close collaboration with brokers and intermediaries to develop tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal expertise to navigate complex insurance regulations and ensure compliance with both local and international standards.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance policies across a range of transaction types and jurisdictions.
• Review transaction documentation, assess deal risks, and provide structured underwriting solutions.
• Work closely with brokers, legal advisors, and clients to structure and negotiate policy terms.
• Support the ongoing development of underwriting strategy and market presence in the region.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in either private practice law (M&A or corporate) or insurance (transactional risk, financial lines, or related fields) .
• Strong understanding of corporate transactions and deal processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Remuneration: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
