Job Summary

Come join our team for the 2026 Fire Season!

This position is for a Wildland Firefighter - Engine Crew role. It includes availability to respond to wildfires during the wildfire season, 24/7, and in the off season may continue as a regular full time job with full benefits still working in the wildfire industry. Most of the wildfire response is utilizing Type 6 brush trucks to patrol and help protect structures during a wildfire, which makes the job a perfect opportunity for current Engine Bosses, wildland firefighters, and other qualified personnel. Mitigation is also performed during a wildfire. In the off season and between wildfire events, the crew members engage in prescribed burning, installing wildfire protection systems (construction work), mitigation services such as defensible space clearing, risk assessments, and other wildfire prevention services.

We are currently hiring seasoned firefighters with a current Red Card certification as Firefighter Type 2 or above. Existing Red Card certification and wildland firefighting experience greatly preferred.

Additionally, we are looking for entry level firefighters. We offer training and required certifications to become a wildland firefighter with a concentration in the fire engine crew for wildfire response. Contact us for more information on hiring dates for the 2024 season.

Applicants who have completed wildland fire training, including a minimum of the following courses, will be considered for Engine Crew positions:

  • I-100 – Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS)
  • IS-700 National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction
  • L-180 – Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service
  • S-130 – Firefighter Training
  • S-190 – Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior

If hired without an existing Red Card, Wildland Firefighters will be required to earn their Red Card certification within a certain time period, and before they will be sent out on wildfires.

Come work for a progressive, fast growing company that offers a great environment with the opportunity to grow within the organization.
