Salary: £42,000–£44,000 per year (depending on experience & role) + site allowances for offshore roles

Role summary
We’re recruiting Wind Turbine Technicians for operation & maintenance teams. You’ll carry out routine inspections, fault-finding, component replacement, preventative maintenance, and support commissioning activities both onshore and offshore (role dependent). Safe, efficient turbine availability is your priority.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines (rotor, gearbox, generator, electrical systems).
- Fault diagnosis, repair and replacement of mechanical and electrical components.
- Assist with commissioning, testing and upgrade works.
- Work at height tasks (hub and nacelle) and confined-space duties as required.
- Maintain accurate service reports (SCADA logs, work packs) and communicate with Ops/Control.
- Follow all HSE/site procedures, report incidents and participate in toolbox talks.
- Mentor junior technicians and support site induction activities.
Must-have qualifications & experience
- TVET/Technical diploma or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar.
- Minimum 1–3 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience (3+ years preferred for senior roles). Experience with industrial, electrical or HVAC plant accepted.
- Practical experience in fault-finding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and electrical control panels.
- Good spoken and written English (safety-critical communication).
- Valid passport and right to travel/work (we will sponsor UK visa).
- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) or willingness to obtain.
Essential certifications or commitment to obtain
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) — or willingness to complete before start.
- Offshore roles: BOSIET / CA-EBS (or commitment to complete prior to offshore mobilisation).
- Working at height competence and verification of safe-lift/MEWP operation (IPAF/Equivalent preferred).
- Health & safety training (manual handling, first aid) — copies required with application or proof of booking.
Desirable (makes candidate stand out)
- Prior wind turbine O&M experience (any OEM: Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, GE, Nordex).
- SCADA troubleshooting, PLC/electrical protection experience.
- CSCS/UK site card equivalents or experience working on UK construction/energy sites.
- B2 English or higher; driving licence desirable.
