Window and Door Service Technician

Duties

• Install, repair, and replace windows and doors using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Conduct glass installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation to ensure secure fitment and optimal performance
• Perform metal stud framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, and frame carpentry as needed for custom projects
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
• Utilize welding skills for metal components repair or fabrication when required
• Apply locksmithing techniques for lock installation or repair to enhance security features
• Assist with remodeling projects involving electrical work, electrical experience preferred for integrated systems
• Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to OSHA standards; perform heavy lifting regularly on construction sites
• Fabricate custom components using construction site experience and mechanical knowledge to meet project needs
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure all installations meet safety codes and client expectations

Requirements

• Proven experience in glass installation, door hanging, or window service roles within the construction or remodeling industry
• Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication and metal stud framing preferred
• Hands-on experience with construction site work including remodeling projects and carpentry tasks
• Electrical experience beneficial for integrated system installations or troubleshooting electrical components
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly; comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
