Blinds & Shutters by Discount Mike is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Sales / Designer to join our team! If you have a passion for interior design, a knack for sales, and a deep knowledge of window treatments, we encourage you to apply. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with clients, understanding their needs and preferences, providing expert design advice, and closing sales for a variety of window treatment solutions, including blinds, shades, shutters, awnings, and drapes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-home or showroom consultations with clients to assess their window treatment needs, style preferences, and budget.
• Present and explain the features and benefits of different window treatment options, including blinds, shades, shutters, awnings, and drapes, from various manufacturers.
• Provide creative and practical design solutions, considering factors like light control, privacy, energy efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Accurately measure windows and spaces to ensure proper product fit and installation.
• Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for clients, including product specifications, pricing, and estimated timelines.
• Follow up with clients to answer questions, address concerns, and effectively close sales.
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and stay updated on the latest trends, styles, and technologies in the window treatment industry.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the window treatment, interior design, or home improvement industries.
• Strong understanding of various window treatment products, including blinds, shades, shutters, awnings, and drapes, and their applications.
• Excellent design and visualization skills with the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and functional window solutions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Strong closing skills and a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and potentially industry-specific design and quoting software.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-home consultations.
