Wine Bar Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic wait staff to join our dynamic team. This is strictly a part-time, seasonal position. Weekends and evenings (not late hours) required. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This position may also be responsible for preparing easy drink or food recipes for guests. Your ability to multitask and maintain a clean work environment will contribute to an enjoyable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Prepare and serve menu food recipes as directed.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their tastes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Comply with all food handling and safety regulations while serving food or drinks.
• Assist with catering events or banquets as needed, providing excellent service to guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or food preparation experience is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations in a restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
