Wine Operations Manager

About the Role

The Wine Operations Manager is the operational backbone of Bricoleur Vineyards’ direct-to-consumer and distribution business. This role oversees the full lifecycle of every order, from placement to delivery - across our tasting room, wine club, digital storefront, and distribution channels. The Wine Operations Manager ensures compliance, accuracy, and efficiency at every step, while delivering the exceptional service experience our customers expect.

This is a cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with our hospitality, marketing, and winemaking teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, systems-minded, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced winery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

• Oversee all orders from placement to delivery - including POS, digital (Shopify), and wine club orders
• Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment across all channels
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate with customers on delays or exceptions

Inventory Management

• Manage inventory across wine shipping and tasting room pick-up orders
• Conduct daily inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records
• Coordinate SKU management across Shopify and ShipCompliant
• Manage packaging inventory levels and reorder as needed

Wine Shipping & Compliance

• Coordinate all outbound wine shipping logistics, including onsite shipping operations

Distribution Logistics

• Manage distribution order workflow from Shopify through Wine Shipping and OpenDoc systems
• Coordinate delivery of wine to local markets and events
• Process and track distribution purchase orders and invoices
• Maintain distribution PO systems and ensure timely fulfillment

Corporate Gifting & Special Programs

• Manage corporate gifting logistics including order uploads and processing
• Coordinate auction package submissions and fulfillment
• Submit wine scores and ratings to relevant publications and platforms

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in wine operations, DTC fulfillment, or winery logistics
• Familiarity with Shopify, ShipCompliant, and wine compliance requirements
• Experience with wine shipping regulations and multi-state compliance
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and databases simultaneously
• Clear communicator—both written and verbal—with a customer service orientation
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Passion for wine, hospitality, and premium consumer brands
• Experience with Klaviyo or similar CRM tools a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
