Wine Service & Hospitality - Tasting Room - Winery

Weekends: Primarily Saturdays. Join Virginia's most progressive winery in our Tasting Room ! We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to engage presentation and educate customers in a positive and supportive environment! Arterra is a clean wine and fine art concept - this is an opportunity to be part of something you can believe in. The role is to have customers feel truly welcomed & wanted, to fully present our concepts of quality and nature focus, and to carry out established procedures including set-up & clean-up to maintain a respectable environment at all times. Candidate should be a person who enjoys interacting with people, has unhindered physical capability, with positive energy, and is a "step-up" personality.

Part Time Rotational Position - two to six shifts per month depending on the interest of the candidate. Mostly Saturdays. Shifts generally are 7 hours.

Preferences given to experience with: Customer Service & Hospitality, Sales, Wine Knowledge. However - the right dynamic personality is the key factor.

Position is for Table-Side Service including sales. Requirements include:
a) Walking much of the day notably as we service across a patio and lawn area
b) Ability to Carry a 40-pound wine box up a flight of stairs or to Customers as needed
c) Use of simple electronic tablet app for checkout
d) Confidence to learn & CONSISTENTLY convey simple presentation of our Wine Philosophy and Wine Attributes
e) Ability to maintain a positive attitude adapting to both slower and busier days
f) Additional simple tasks as requested by Owners or Lead Staff

Arterra produces Clean Wines, and will provide Training for our Service, about our wines, and educational opportunities.
