Wine Tender

Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine Tender to join our team at Ozark Hills Winery. As a Wine Tender, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience by recommending and serving a curated selection of wines. You should have a deep understanding of wine varieties, pairings, and the ability to create a welcoming environment.

Essential Duties:

• Greet guests and provide personalized wine recommendations.
• Educate guests on wine varietals, origins, and tasting notes.
• Accurately pour and serve wine in compliance with company and legal standards.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere with excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Assist in planning winetasting events and promotions.
• Handle payment processing and provide accurate billing.
• Stay uptodate on new wine trends and offerings.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience in wine service or bartending preferred.
• Certification from a recognized wine institution (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and food pairings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
• A passion for wine and the guest experience.
