Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women across all stages of life. <Duties>

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments focused on women’s reproductive health, including family planning, prenatal, and postpartum care.
  • Provide clinical services such as Pap smears, breast exams, contraceptive counseling, and menopausal management.
  • Administer treatments including Botulinum toxin injections for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes and dermal fillers to enhance patient confidence.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions related to gynecology, including infections, pelvic pain, and hormonal imbalances using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as endocrinology, gastroenterology, and behavioral health to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, lifestyle modifications, and preventive strategies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

<Requirements>

  • Current certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with specialized training in women’s health.
  • Proven experience working in medical offices with familiarity in Epic or Athenahealth EMR/EHR systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Experience with advanced treatments including esthetic laser therapy, spinal taps, gastroscopy procedures, and acute pain management is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing.
  • Critical care experience in settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous; hospital or emergency room experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to work effectively in telehealth environments and perform triage assessments remotely when needed.
  • Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation law, hospice & palliative medicine principles, geriatrics, neonatal ventilators, dementia care, and post-acute care practices enhances your versatility.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for patient education and advocacy; ability to work with diverse populations including children, seniors in assisted living or nursing homes, and individuals with disabilities.
