Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Joinery Draftsman with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wood joinery techniques and be proficient in creating accurate and detailed shop drawings for wardrobes, cabinets, and other custom woodwork projects. This role requires close collaboration with the design and production teams to ensure that all drawings meet our high standards for precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed shop drawings for cabinetry, wardrobes, and custom joinery items based on design specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to company standards and are ready for production.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing.
• Review design plans and provide feedback on functionality, materials, and construction techniques.
• Utilize CAD software and other design tools to produce high-quality, scalable drawings.
• Maintain a library of joinery standards and contribute to improving processes and documentation.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and innovations in wood joinery and materials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a draftsman in wood joinery or cabinetry production.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
• Experience creating shop drawings specifically for wardrobes, cabinets, and other custom joinery.
• Solid understanding of wood joinery techniques and materials.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
