Wordpress and Shopify developer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce and CMS-based websites, ensuring seamless functionality, optimized performance, and user-friendly design.

This role requires strong technical expertise in both WordPress (themes, plugins, custom development) and Shopify (themes, apps, Liquid code), along with a good eye for UI/UX and experience in integrating third-party APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development & Customization
• Build, customize, and maintain websites on WordPress and Shopify platforms.
• Develop and modify custom themes, plugins, and apps as required.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• E-Commerce Management
• Implement product catalogs, payment gateways, and checkout flows.
• Optimize product pages for SEO and conversions.
• Configure Shopify apps and WordPress WooCommerce plugins.
• Performance & Security
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability.
• Ensure security best practices and regular updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Integration & Automation
• Integrate third-party APIs (payment, shipping, CRM, marketing tools).
• Implement marketing and analytics tracking codes.
• Support automation workflows for eCommerce processes.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality websites.
• Provide technical guidance on project requirements and feasibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in WordPress: theme development, plugin customization, WooCommerce.
• Proficiency in Shopify: Liquid templating, app integration, theme customization.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, AJAX.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization.
• Understanding of SEO principles, Core Web Vitals, and page speed optimization.
• Knowledge of Git version control and modern development workflows.
• Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Oxygen, etc.) and Shopify Online Store 2.0.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Headless WordPress / Shopify and JAMstack frameworks (Next.js, React).
• Knowledge of cloud hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean, Vercel, Netlify).
• Familiarity with task runners & build tools (Webpack, Gulp, npm).
• Basic design knowledge using Figma/Adobe XD.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred, not mandatory).
