WordPress Core Php Developer

Webbuggs is looking for a skilled WordPress Core PHP Developer with strong expertise in core PHP and WordPress internals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing custom WordPress solutions, optimizing performance, and working on complex backend functionalities for international client projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins using core PHP
• Customize WordPress core functionalities, hooks, actions, and filters
• Build scalable, secure, and performance-optimized WordPress solutions
• Work with custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, and REST API
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and services
• Optimize website speed, security, and scalability
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend and plugin conflicts
• Ensure compatibility across browsers and devices
• Collaborate with designers and frontend developers for seamless UI integration
• Maintain proper documentation and follow coding standards

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a WordPress Core PHP Developer
• Strong command of Core PHP (OOP concepts)
• Deep understanding of WordPress core architecture
• Experience with custom plugin & theme development
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database structure
• Hands-on experience with WordPress REST API
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience with Git/GitHub
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently during the night shift
• Good English communication skills (reading & writing)
