WordPress Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, with expertise in WordPress and a variety of programming languages and frameworks. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining websites and web applications. You will collaborate project managers to create responsive, high-quality web solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain WordPress e-commerce websites (e.g. WooCommerce).
• Create visually appealing and functional web designs.
• Implement responsive web design principles to ensure websites are accessible across all devices.
• Utilize various programming languages including PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL for backend and frontend development.
• Work with databases such as MySQL for data management.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress applications.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in WordPress development with a strong portfolio.
• Experience with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery), TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Familiarity with backend technologies including PHP or .NET.
• Knowledge of database management systems: MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with system architecture principles and application development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize website visibility.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $29.57 - $35.62 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week

Work Location: Remote
