About the Role

We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in custom theme and plugin development. The ideal candidate should be strong in core WordPress customization, responsive design, performance optimization, and security best practices. You will work closely with designers, backend developers, and the project management team to deliver scalable, secure, and pixel-perfect WordPress websites.

Key ResponsibilitiesWordPress Development & Customization

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
• Build custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, and shortcodes.
• Customize existing themes/plugins as per project requirements.
• Convert Figma/PSD designs into responsive WordPress sites.
• Work with page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery) while also handling custom PHP work without over-reliance on plugins.
• Ensure cross-browser and mobile responsiveness.

Performance & Security

• Optimize WordPress websites for speed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO.
• Implement WordPress security standards to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Debug and resolve theme, plugin, and core update issues.

Integration & APIs

• Integrate WordPress with third-party APIs, CRMs, and payment gateways.
• Develop custom dashboards, reporting modules, and automation features.
• Implement WooCommerce features for e-commerce projects.

Collaboration & Best Practices

• Collaborate with designers and backend teams for API-driven features.
• Follow Git version control, clean coding practices, and agile workflows.
• Write well-documented, reusable, and optimized code.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress Core, Theme Development, Plugin Development.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Experience with WooCommerce, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), LMS plugins (LearnDash, LifterLMS).
• Familiarity with WordPress REST API, hooks, and filters.
• Knowledge of cPanel, hosting, domain setup, and deployment workflows.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Experience with multisite & multi-language setups (WPML, Polylang).
• Familiarity with SEO tools (Yoast, RankMath) and Google Analytics.
• Exposure to headless WordPress (using REST API/GraphQL).
• Basic knowledge of DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for WordPress.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
