WordPress Developer

Overview

We are looking for a motivated WordPress Developer with a passion for web design and development. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational programming skills and a keen eye for aesthetics, layout, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Support the development team in creating responsive, mobile-friendly designs.
• Customize themes and templates based on design mockups and project requirements.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing websites.
• Test and review website functionality across browsers and devices to ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to bring creative ideas to life.
• Stay current with web development trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Working understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Deep Familiarity with WordPress, PHP and MySQL is a plus.
• Some experience working with WordPress
• Ability to install and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
• Understanding of responsive and adaptive web design principles.
• Knowledge of debugging tools such as Chrome Developer Tools or Firefox Inspector.
• Willingness to learn how to interact with APIs (RESTful, JSON, XML).
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred

• Experience with basic SEO principles.
• Exposure to website performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and best practices.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Internship or personal project experience in web development is highly desirable.
