About the Role

We are seeking a motivated WordPress Developer with over 2 years’ experience to join our Calicut team. As part of Aufait, you will collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and project managers to build and maintain high-quality WordPress sites that deliver excellent client value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications.
• Translate design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into responsive and pixel-perfect WordPress themes.
• Extend and customize themes and plugins using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Work with custom post types, meta fields, widget areas, and page builders (e.g. Elementor, Gutenberg).
• Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services into WordPress sites.
• Monitor and optimize websites for performance, SEO, and security best practices.
• Manage version control and deployment using Git, and assist in staging/production workflows.
• Test and debug issues across devices and browsers; ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with UX design, backend, and QA teams to ensure holistic product quality.
• Stay updated on WordPress trends, updates, and best practices; suggest improvements and innovations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2 years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / jQuery.
• Experience working with WordPress architecture: hooks, filters, actions, custom post types.
• Familiarity with page builders / block editors (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.).
• Solid understanding of SEO principles, web performance (caching, minification, lazy loading), and security practices.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, with ability to work in a team environment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
