Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop WordPress-based websites and applications with custom themes and plugins.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code for WordPress.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to build and maintain web projects.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
• Work on integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other web services into WordPress sites.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Manage full lifecycle development for client projects, from concept to deployment.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress, PHP, and web development in general.
• Manage website migrations, updates, and security enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of the WordPress Codex and best practices.
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.).
• Solid understanding of web performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, custom integrations, and third-party services.
• Proficiency in WooCommerce for building eCommerce solutions.
• Knowledge of modern development workflows (CI/CD, testing, deployment).
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and client-facing experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and other cloud-based services.
• Knowledge of security best practices in WordPress.
• Experience in building multilingual websites and using WPML.
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
