What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites with a focus on user experience (UX) and responsive web design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional website features.
• Implement best practices for SEO to improve site visibility and performance.
• Utilize front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SCSS to create visually appealing layouts.
• Manage database interactions using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to ensure data integrity and security.
• Develop custom themes and plugins in PHP while adhering to coding standards and practices.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality across various browsers and devices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in web development, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.

Basic qualifications

• Proficiency in WordPress development including theme customization and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN for collaborative development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of Docker for containerization and deployment processes.
• Experience with Agile methodologies in software development projects.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Angular or React for front-end development.
• Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools to present insights effectively.
