We are now hiring a WordPress Developer in Karachi to join our team on a project-focused contract, with potential for renewal.

Role Overview

We are seeking a developer who can build a fully custom WordPress website from scratch using detailed Figma designs (no page builders).

Key Responsibilities

• Convert Figma designs into a custom WordPress build (no Elementor/Divi/WPBakery).
• Develop lightweight, high-performance pages using custom themes and clean code.
• Ensure full responsive design on all pages and devices.
• Integrate external APIs (e.g., Weather, Currency) using REST/JSON.
• Handle content migration (text, images, blogs) with accuracy.
• Optimise for speed, performance, and clean structure.
• Conduct thorough QA testing across browsers and devices.
• Coordinate with the project manager to deliver milestones, including MVP and full build.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Proven experience in custom WordPress theme development.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect layouts.
• Have an idea about Theme and Plugin development or structure.
• Experience with speed optimisation and caching fundamentals.
• Knowledge of WordPress hooks, templates, functions, and theme structure.
• Experience in API consumption and JSON handling.
• Familiarity with content and blog migration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gutenberg / block-based development.
• Basic understanding of SEO structure (optional but preferred).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Contract Details

• 3-Month initial contract (renewable based on performance).
• Rs. 70,000 per month.
• Must be Karachi-based for communication and time alignment.
• Expected availability during Pakistan business hours.
