WordPress Developer

We are a dynamic and client-focused team delivering robust WordPress solutions. We’re looking for a motivated WordPress Developer with about 1 year of hands-on experience to join our collaborative environment and help build, customize, and optimize WordPress sites for a diverse set of clients.

Role Summary
As a WordPress Developer, you will contribute to the full development lifecycle—from planning and design to deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure WordPress websites and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
• Translate design wireframes and mockups into fully functional, responsive WordPress sites.
• Implement and manage site features using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern WordPress APIs.
• Build and maintain custom post types, taxonomies, meta boxes, and reusable components.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Optimize site performance (loading times, caching, and asset optimization).
• Implement security best practices and regular updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• Create and manage backups, staging environments, and deployment workflows.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging, with a structured approach to issue resolution.
• Collaborate on content migration and website launches, including domain mapping and hosting considerations.

cPanel, Domain Hosting, and Deployments

• Basic to intermediate proficiency with cPanel or equivalent hosting control panels.
• Manage domain registrations, DNS records, SSL certificates, and domain mapping for staging and production environments.
• Upload, configure, and manage WordPress installations on hosting environments.
• Handle basic server-side tasks relevant to WordPress hosting (permissions, php versions, cron jobs, backups).

Plugins, Integrations, and Extensibility

• Install, configure, and customize core WordPress plugins (SEO, security, caching, forms, page builders, etc.).
• Develop or extend plugins for custom functionality as needed.
• Integrate with third-party services via APIs (payments, CRMs, email providers, analytics, etc.).
• Work with REST API and custom plugin endpoints to enable front-end/back-end interactions.

All About Development

• Follow coding standards, version control (Git), and code review processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Understand responsive design principles and accessibility basics.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and task tracking.
• Keep up-to-date with WordPress developments, security best practices, and new tooling.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 1 year of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Solid understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (and common libraries).
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and debugging.
• Familiarity with WP-CLI and Git workflows.
• Basic knowledge of hosting environments, cPanel, domain management, and SSL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with page builders (Divi, Elementor, Beaver Builder) and custom block development (ACF, Gutenberg blocks).
• Understanding of WooCommerce setup and customization.
• Familiarity with REST API, external API integrations, and webhooks.
• Basic knowledge of sites’ security hardening and performance optimization (caching, CDN, image optimization).
