We’re seeking a skilled and technically strong WordPress Developer to join our growing team and help build pixel-perfect, performance-optimized websites using WordPress.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a front-end-focused WordPress Developer with strong backend knowledge who can create custom themes, build plugins, and deliver fully responsive, SEO-optimized websites. You’ll be responsible for transforming designs (Figma/PSD) into high-quality WordPress sites & ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Customization

• Develop responsive websites using custom WordPress themes and builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
• Convert UI/UX mockups from tools like Figma or Adobe XD into pixel-perfect front-end code.
• Create custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, and widgets based on project needs.
• Write clean, well-documented HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), and PHP code for WordPress environments.

Theme & Plugin Handling

• Modify existing themes and plugins or develop custom ones from scratch when required.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, contact forms, and marketing tools.
• Ensure security best practices and code validation are followed across all development tasks.

Performance Optimization

• Implement website speed optimization techniques (caching, lazy loading, asset minification, image compression).
• Optimize websites for SEO (on-page structure, meta tags, schema markup) and Core Web Vitals.

Testing & Debugging

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Use debugging tools (e.g., Query Monitor, Browser DevTools) to identify and fix layout or logic bugs.
• Validate front-end code for responsiveness and compatibility.

Maintenance & Support

• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing WordPress sites.
• Regularly update WordPress core, plugins, and themes to ensure security and compatibility.
• Backup management, migration handling, and staging environment deployment.

Client Communication

• Collaborate with project coordinators to understand feature requirements, project timelines, and feedback.
• Provide accurate time estimations and technical feedback during planning or briefing sessions.
• Participate in team discussions and client reviews (if needed) to present technical feasibility or improvements.

Required Education & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in WordPress development (agency experience is a plus).
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and the template hierarchy.
• Experience with builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, and Woo Commerce.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Bonus: Knowledge of REST APIs, ACF Pro, SEO, page speed optimization, and security practices.
