WordPress Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in custom theme development, plugins, website performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Convert Figma / PSD / HTML designs into fully functional WordPress pages.
• Customize existing themes and create new ones as per project requirements.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins.
• Ensure website speed optimization, performance improvements, and SEO-friendly structure.
• Manage website security, backups, and updates.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, etc.
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot performance issues, and maintain website stability.
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and marketing teams.
• Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly website design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with WordPress CMS, themes, and plugins.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Hands-on experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.
• Knowledge of MySQL, cPanel, hosting, and domain management.
• Experience with WooCommerce setup and customization.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of website security and optimization tools.
• Familiarity with Git / version control is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API integration and REST APIs.
• Ability to work with debugging tools, browser inspector, etc.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Experience in website migration and hosting management.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications in WordPress or Web Development (optional).
