WordPress Developer

This position is for our office located in Daphne, Alabama.

We are looking for a Wordpress Developer who will be an integral part of the Southern View Crew. You’ll work under our Assistant Director of Development to develop and maintain/update websites as well as assist with our ongoing SEO efforts.

Duties:

• Develop websites and landing pages using approved xd files from designers as assigned
• identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications as assigned
• Run functionality testings and debug code
• Oversee junior web developers and evaluate their performance
• Ensure our software documentation is up-to-date
• Collaborate with mobile developers to build mobile-responsive websites
• Help with SEO process as assigned
• Help with website checks as assigned
• Perform website backups as assigned
• Manage website changes as assigned
• Create manual reports as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year experience in Wordpress development
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles
• Knowledge of web server configuration and optimization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Hostgator, etc.
• Experience with GraphQL or other API query languages is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
