We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and functionality. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, plugins, and front-end/back-end development to deliver responsive and scalable web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes and plugins, to meet client or project requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to translate designs and wireframes into functional websites.
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
• Implement and manage WordPress multisite installations, custom post types, and taxonomies.
• Ensure website security, including regular updates, backups, and protection against vulnerabilities.
• Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and services (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, or email marketing platforms).
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including compatibility, performance, and functionality problems.
• Stay updated on WordPress trends, updates, and best practices to recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support and training to clients or team members on WordPress usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, including custom coding.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, AJAX, and integrating external services.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, SiteGround, or AWS) and domain management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi).
• Knowledge of e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, Joomla) is a plus.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles to enhance user experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Note: This is a full-time position, but we are open to part-time or freelance arrangements for exceptional candidates.
