WordPress Developer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate both independently and within a team on diverse and challenging WordPress projects.
• Develop custom themes, plugins, and features to enhance website functionality while maintaining code quality through regular reviews and maintenance.
• Uphold security best practices within the WordPress development environment and implement responsive web designs for seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise and keep up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies.

Candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in WordPress development, along with proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Solid understanding of responsive web design principles, plugin and theme development, and familiarity with security considerations specific to WordPress.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
• Excellent relational database skills with MySQL.
• Experience with building restful JSON web services.
• Experienced in building REST API.
• Proficient in using AJAX.
• Portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects, including code samples or links.

Plus point if:

• Experienced in popular other CMSs such as Open Cart, Shopify, Magento, and Drupal.
• Experienced in developing and customizing Plugins for the above-mentioned CMSs.
• Experienced in customizing themes for CMSs.
